Lincoln’s Story, Shared by His Owner
The story behind Lincoln’s custom French Bulldog figurine begins with a cuddly, quirky Frenchie who had a real talent for getting into trouble.
“Lincoln was a little bit of a troublemaker. He loved going through the bathroom bin and eating tissues, and he had absolutely no remorse at all. He was also incredibly cuddly and quirky. Lincoln was a French Bulldog, and he’d had a haematoma on one of his ears, which left it with a slightly unusual shape and gave him a rather endearing, goofy look.”
Lincoln was the sort of dog who could get into trouble and somehow make it impossible to stay cross with him.
A Frenchie from the United States, he had a wonderfully funny personality and a particular fondness for doing things he probably knew perfectly well he wasn’t supposed to do.
A Love for Tissues
One of Lincoln’s favourite activities was rummaging through the bathroom bin in search of tissues.
And he never seemed particularly sorry when he was caught. Given another opportunity, he would probably have gone straight back and done the same thing again.
It may have caused a bit of mess around the house, but over time it became one of those funny little habits his family would always remember.
So many pets have a habit that drives us mad at the time. Yet later, those same mischievous moments often become some of the memories that make us smile the most.
Cuddly, Quirky and Completely Lincoln
Lincoln may have been a troublemaker, but he was also incredibly affectionate and loved cuddling up with his family.
His owner described him as “quirky”, and it seems to suit him perfectly. A haematoma had changed the shape of one of his ears, giving him a slightly different appearance from other Frenchies.
But that ear wasn’t simply an imperfection. It was part of Lincoln — one of the little details that made him instantly recognisable to the people who loved him.
After all, what makes us look at a pet and immediately think, “That’s my dog”?
Often, it’s the smallest details: a slightly bent ear, a particular marking, a familiar expression, the way they tilt their head, or even the funny way they sit.
These individual characteristics become part of how we recognise them and, eventually, part of how we remember them.
Creating Lincoln’s Custom French Bulldog Figurine
Using photographs of Lincoln, his owner had a custom French Bulldog figurine created as a special keepsake for herself.
Whenever she looks at the sculpture, she isn’t simply looking at a figurine of a French Bulldog. She is looking at Lincoln.
His distinctive ear, his black and white markings, his collar and the little characteristics that belonged to him have all become part of the finished piece.
That distinction matters to us.

And for Lincoln, that means remembering a cuddly, quirky Frenchie with his unmistakable ear — who always seemed to be on the lookout for one more tissue to steal.
